Hey everyone, Welcome to my beginning series of Let’s play!
I’m playing “Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the cursed king”, one of my favorite Ps2 classic titles!
Playing this for now until Dragon quest 11 comes out, which i’ll also be uploading content for!
This video took me over 4 hours to render, but its worth because I enjoyed playing this and I hope you enjoy it just as much by watching!
I’m using the PCSX2 1.4.0 Emulator (with cheats enabled) to run this game at 60+fps, lets hope the quality isn’t too bad. (My settings are @ 33:00)

I do have a few cheats enabled to help the progression in game:

-No gold reduction : AKA buying an item doesn’t decrease my gold
-x8 Experience multiplier: Less of a grind 🙂
-Max hero agility: For the fun of it lol
-x2 skill point allocation, x2 skill points gained per level= More skills!

Here we go! This game is one of my favorite games on the Playstation 2. Here are a few you need to know.

Note 1. As usual i always level up off screen between resting. When i go wake up i show you the skills/Spells/Trait that was earned from leveling up via skill points.

Note 2. I got every Mini Medal (115) and every treasure but that required lots of backtracking i didn’t get them in the exact order believe me i did alot of it.

Note 3. I did not do the casino but i should have shown that off to see how the games are played. But the prizes are the point of playing mini games.Since it’s not part of the main story line i chose not to play them. –
